What kind of animals can be cremated?

The people at Best Friends Pet Passings & Cremations know that beloved companions come in all shapes, sizes and species, and that the love you have for your pet is much bigger than they are. Most of the animals we take into our care are dogs and cats, but we are honored to help you say goodbye to other species as well, including:

  • Alpacas
  • Goats

Some animals we cannot accommodate include llamas, horses, and livestock such as cows and large pigs due to their size and weight. As much as we wish we could welcome every type of animal, we do have a weight limit of 300 pounds. If you are in need of cremation services for an animal that exceeds 300 pounds, we recommend that you reach out to your veterinarian for their services or for recommendations for large animal cremation.


All creatures, great or small, can be remembered in a meaningful way.
