Zeke Mudd, our loving, gentle, and friendly Husky from Blythewood, SC, passed away on June 6, 2023, proving that even the best things in life must come to an end. Zeke was born in South Carolina and, like a true Southern gentleman, stayed true to his roots by passing away in the same beautiful state.
The Mudd family, namely Jimmy and Jackie, were the lucky ones to share their lives and hearts with Zeke. They always knew they hit the jackpot with him, and Zeke made sure to shower them with love, affection, and the occasional drool. The Mudds found love in Chester S.C. when they adopted Zeke back in October of 2015, and the rest, as they say, is history.
Zeke's interests were simple but brought him immense joy. Playing was like his full-time job, and he took it very seriously. He was a firm believer in the "work hard, play hard" philosophy, even though he didn't have an actual job – unless being a professional heart-melter counts. Going for walks and rides were his favorite pastime, and boy, did he love to sniff every single tree, mailbox, and shrub along the way on his walks. Zeke was a true connoisseur of the outdoors, appreciating every scent and sight with the enthusiasm of an art critic at the Louvre.
Snuggling was Zeke's way of recharging his batteries and getting ready for another day of playing, walking, and eating treats. Speaking of treats, Zeke was a gourmand who never met a treat he didn't like. He was especially fond of those peanut butter-flavored goodies and watermelon that made his tail wag so fast it could power a small city.
Zeke's social circle was small but mighty, consisting mainly of his friends Penny and Pretty. The dynamic trio was inseparable, and they all spent countless hours playing, wrestling, and napping together. It's said that the bond between Zeke, Penny, Pretty was so strong that they could communicate telepathically, but we'll leave that mystery unsolved. Pretty went ahead of Zeke on his journey to the rainbow bridge and we are sure they are having a crazy reunion. They were both so silly.
Zeke Mudd was a one-of-a-kind dog who brought laughter, joy, and love to everyone who met him. His gentle nature, friendly demeanor, and unconditional love will be missed, but his memory will live on in the hearts of those who knew him. As we say our final goodbyes to Zeke, we remember him with a smile, a wagging tail, and a peanut butter-flavored treat raised in his honor. Rest in peace, dear Zeke, and may you find all the treats, snuggles, and adventures you could ever wish for on the other side of the rainbow bridge. We love and miss you dearly Big Man….
