Roscoe Korba
Roscoe passed peacefully at home with both his mommy’s by his side showering him with love. At 21 years old, this old man had a rough start to life. His first home decided to declaw only his front paws, then got upset when he would potty on the floor. They decided to dump this young, beautiful baby outside with no defenses to fend for himself. Luckily, he was picked up and brought back to the rescue. A short time later, Roscoe was adopted again by another family. Again, because his front paws hurt, he was dumped outside again by this second family for not using the litter box. Luckily, again for him, he was found and again, returned to the same rescue. Then along comes us. His forever home. When we adopted Roscoe, we were told he had some litter box issues. We took this as a challenge, and made him a promise that we would never leave him. After multiple accidents, plenty of patience, and the right litter, our old man finally knew he was safe and at his forever home.
Throughout the next 14+ years, he had evolved into the most loving, caring, and grand-po-pa there was. With his super soft rabbit-like fur coat, any lap was his lap. Any bed was his bed. Any bowl of food was his bowl.
On his 21st birthday, we started to notice a change with our now old man. He slowed down and was sleeping more and more. We knew we were on borrowed time at this point. Then came today, October 8th. He decided on his own, that with the sun shining and both mommy’s at home, he wanted to cross over the rainbow bridge to see all of the others that had gone before him.
We are so honored that he chose us as his forever family and showered us with all of his rough tongue kisses and purrs. We ask Bast to take care of you and make sure you have all of the soft food you could ever want. We love you Roscoe, our forever old man!
