Peachfuzz Anderson/Truett
Spring, 2012 – February 17, 2025
Peachfuzz, a senior member of the Cayce House of Cats (CHOC), passed away peacefully at the age of 12, due to complications from abdominal cancer. Known affectionately by many names – Fuzz, Meeper, Da Fuzz, and FuzzBuzz – he leaves behind his brother, Frank, and sister, Macaroon, as well as his housemates at CHOC – cared for by Stoney and Valerie.
Born in May 2012, Fuzz was one of three kittens discovered in our backyard, a serendipitous event that forever changed his life and the lives of his littermates. Initially intended for a farm life, Fuzz's irresistible precociousness, charm, little “meeps”, and captivating personality convinced us to keep the entire trio, thus beginning his life as a permanent resident of CHOC.
He was named “Peachfuzz” because he was a faded orange tabby. His brother, Frank, is an even lighter faded orange (almost white), and his sister, Macaroon, is an orange tabby.
Da Fuzz was renowned for his easygoing nature and gentle spirit. A truly laid-back cat, he effortlessly integrated into our bustling household, forming a particularly strong bond with his brother, Frank. The pair were inseparable, often seen side-by-side, sleeping, playing, and sharing meals. He also had a strong friendship with most of his housemates (especially the guys).
Throughout his twelve years, Fuzz brought much companionship to his family here at CHOC. His quiet presence and gentle nature enriched the lives of those around him.
FuzzBuzz – we are lucky beyond words that you chose us to be your family. Papa Stoney and Mama Valerie love you so very much and will miss hearing your little “meeps” at dinnertime.
Enjoy your journey across the Bridge. We will see you soon, sweet boy…
