Monkey-Man Busby, beloved feline friend of the Busby family, crossed the Rainbow Bridge, May 24, 2023, surrounded by his family.
Well he was certainly more than a cat, he was my son, my best friend, and my Guardian Angel.
He was 17 yrs old. In his youth he was a carnie cat that loved the travel. He loved meeting new people and creatures. For the 1st 4 years of his life I don't think he realized that he was a cat because he never did cat things. He was nearly 5yrs old when he purred for the 1st time and it scared him.. he had his own pets that he loved dearly, daisy (another cat) was one that he picked out of a litter of kittens and look after very well over the years. He was a fierce protector and yet very loving. He was king of the house and he knew it. The majority of his life he rarely meowed unless there was something he needed a human to see or take care of.
He enjoyed relaxing in the grass and playing with crickets. I could talk all day about him really. His most favorite things were laying with me and his teddy bear that I gave him when he was a kitten. It didn't matter what we were doing as long as me and his bear were there he was happy. Have to include that it took him about 2 years before his body finally got longer than his tail. He loved people food some of his favorites were mushrooms, steak, asparagus and milk...
His was a life well lived, and as we reflect upon a being that was so very special, let us remember the kindness toward other and the love given from his enormous heart. We will miss you Monkey-Man... until we meet again at the Rainbow Bridge.
