Lindbergh Anderson/Truett

August, 2011 – March 13, 2025

Lindbergh Anderson-Truett, a member of “The Gang of Six” (a tiny division of the City of Cayce House of Cats), was lovingly euthanized on March 13, 2025 after having endured complications from brain disease. He was 14 years old.

Lindbergh was pre-deceased by his sisters Amelia and Jacque. He leaves behind the remaining 3 “Gangsters” – brothers Blackie and Doolittle, and sister Arabella - as well as the remaining members of the CHOC household.

Lindbergh’s story started before he was born. In the Summer of 2011, we were feeding a pregnant tabby female on our back porch. She gave birth to 6 kittens at a neighbor’s home down the street. A few weeks later, she decided to move the litter to our back porch. During her move, we found two of the kittens under a rose bush in the back yard. One of those kittens was Lindbergh. He is named after Charles Lindbergh – the first person to fly non-stop from New York to Paris in “The Spirit of St. Louis”.

Lindbergh and his siblings were thick as thieves - but he especially loved sleeping with his twin sister, Jacque. When they were together, it was mighty hard to tell them apart!

Lindberg had a very laid-back personality. His favorite activity was simply being with all the other members of the household. He was always around when something was going on. He had to be in on the action.

His “claim to fame” was the loss of his eye. It was being medicated for what appeared to be cataract formation. One day, when his eye was being cleaned, his lens came out! Not what one would expect to find on a tissue, but there it was. The rest of his eye was removed within a few days. It didn’t faze him in the least.

A special thank you goes out to Lindbergh’s medical team at Sunset Animal Clinic and to veterinarian Mark Foy in particular. Special thanks is also offered to his housemate, Ernie and the others who kept him comforted during his last few days.

Lindbergh - Papa Stoney and Mama Valerie love you so very much and will miss you jumping on the countertop just to see what’s happening...

Enjoy your journey across the Bridge. We will see you soon, sweet boy…
