Kimchi Heathcote

Kimchi, beloved Siamese feline friend, of the Heathcote family, crossed the Rainbow Bridge, Monday, June 12, 2023, following a brief illness.

Kimchi showed up at a friend’s place of work, a bar, in the Vista one evening, visiting all the patrons without fear, even cuddling up and suckling their clothing. My friend brought him to me that very night when her shift was over. From the beginning, he was the consummate Siamese: outgoing, sweet, incredibly beautiful. And those blue eyes! 

 He was around 6 months old and made his presence known in my brood. Truth be told, he was a bit of a bully. OK, a definite bully. He very much disliked other cats and was incredibly territorial. But he LOVED people and dogs. I could carry him like a baby but he liked it best when I’d hold him and he’d wrap his arms around my neck, suckling my clothes – a habit he never outgrew. He was always happy, gracious and cooperative whenever I needed to give him flea treatment or meds. 

 He truly was a very special, gem of creature and the sweetest soul of all of my cats. I will miss him terribly and will live with a tiny piece of my heart missing for the remainder of my days on Earth. I hope that I will see you again one day, sweet boy. Mommy loves you, KimaKimaChiChi.
