Duchess Grace, Feb 2016 - Sept 2024
We walked by Duchess at the shelter 3 times before we opted to apply to adopt her. She was hyper, bouncing off the walls like a rubber ball, and since we had a young baby and small children, we thought she may be too much. We decided to take her to the play area anyways, and she immediately rested her head on our youngest's lap. From there, we knew, she was meant to come home. Duchess loved her human family fiercely, and we loved her just as much. She traveled across the country with us when we moved from NM to SC. Affectionately know as Dutch, she spent her days watching out of the window, throwing herself dramatically on the floor for belly rubs, talking back to mom when she didn't get her way, and masquerading as a lap dog whenever she could. Her nights were spent laying in bed with mom and dad, or sleeping in her favorite laundry basket. Dutch leaves behind so many people and fur siblings that loved her so much, and she will be missed
