Calico Kitten Anderson/Truett
2016-2021
The EdVenture Community Cat Colony lost one of their number, Calico Kitten, on October 10, 2021, to a tragic hit-by-car accident.
Calico Kitten was part of the original "Columbia Canal Kittens" of 2016. She leaves behind her many Brothers, a pair of tabby and whites, known collectively as "The Twins"; a pair of orange and whites, known together as "OJ-Squared"; a grey short-hair, "Little Man"; and a second grey short-hair, "Mephistofleas". She also leaves behind her special friends "Calico Girl", "Lion King", and "Cool Breeze" as well as a number of other Colony residents.
Calico Kitten was five years old. She was one of the lucky ones who well outlived the 2-3-year average life expectancy of a feral cat. She was a shy girl and would not allow human interaction closer to her than about 10 feet. We would always enjoy seeing her as she was not as regular a visitor at mealtime as others in the colony.
Dear little Calico Kitten - Caretakers Stoney and Valerie and all the EdVenture and Canal Kitties miss you. Know that your journey across the Rainbow Bridge will be met by the welcoming paws of residents "Big O" and "Pippie". Listen to them. They will teach you well.
Be a good girl, sweetie. We will see you again soonâ¦
