Boo Gentry

Boo Gentry, crossed the Rainbow Bridge on June 9, 2022, while visiting family in Myrtle Beach, South Carolina. Although born in 2006, Boo found her forever family on October 31, 2010. We were driving home from a Halloween party and saw her casually strolling along the roadside. We stopped, opened the door, and she immediately jumped into the truck like it’s something she had done a thousand times before. It’s because she knew, even before we knew, that she was always meant to be part of our family.

Although she could be quite stubborn, as most basset hounds are, she brought much joy, happiness, comfort, and humor to our home. She made every day of our lives better. Even though she will be greatly missed, we know she is running around Heaven this very minute free of any fences, leashes, and pain. Boo is chasing rabbits, squirrels, and almost certainly our cat Belle. She’s eating the finest human meals, getting unlimited treats, and having an occasional beer or bourbon. Boo is taking naps in the sunshine, rolling in the grass, and enjoying having her belly and ears scratched by everyone she can flirt with. Until we meet again, we will always love and remember our Boo, Boo Bear, Boo Monster, Booster…
